Alan Kulwicki was my favorite driver and always will be. He gave me the inspiration to realize that goals and dreams can be a reality if you step out of your comfort zone and put enough hard work and effort in to it. I can''t believe it has been 20 years since he passed. I also had the priveledge to meet his dad at Alan''s grave site when my father and I took a vacation to Milwaukee. Truly a blessing and an experience I will never forget.

When Alan was racing at W.I.R. in Kaukauna, WI, my dad was the flagman. I have a picture of Alan after winning a feature in 1979, and the flag he is carrying was my dad''s. It now resides in my collection along with a great picture of Alan on his victory lap. I onoy got to meet Alan a handful of times but was a big fan and really just wanted to extend his memory and maybe do a bit of good. Especially today, to honor Alan and give to this great cause.

Alan''s story and legacy is a true inspiration, and I hope others can learn more through this great project by the Milwaukee County Historical Society.

I never had an interest in any sports until I first heard about Alan Kulwicki when I was 8 years old. I admired his drive (pun intended), determination, and confidence. As a self-identified "David" seemingly up against a world of "Goliaths," I drew inspiration from Alan''s and his team''s never-give-up mentality. I cherished his triumphs and valued his defeats because he became a better competitor because of either. It''s a shame more children didn''t have the chance to look up to him as I did, but hopefully they and others can experience some of that through this project.

Alan was and will always be my favorite driver. Inspiration from his motto to "strive for excellence not perfection" is spot on to how one should conduct themselves in life. The fact that he felt that he could accomplish his goals on his own and was successful in that venture should be an example to all. He is missed very much. Keeping his story alive for young people is a very important message.

Alan was the first driver I ever followed. To this day I have a vanity tag on my car that reads AKWC92. I just learned of this project today and think it is wonderful that Alan's memory is being kept alive. As I live in Delaware, I don't know if I will ever be fortunate enough to visit this exhibit, but as a fan of Alan's, who still misses seeing him on the race track, I want to support this endeavor.

Started following Alan when he won the July ASA race in Milwaukee in July of 1983. His uncle lived across the street from us. I followed Alan thru ASA and into Cup. His championship is probably 1 of the greatest championships in all of sports. He was a bright and driven man who showed that having some brains mixed well with driving skills.

There is a whole generation of race fans that know so little about Wisconsin's own Winston Cup Champion. Thanks to the Milwaukee County Historical Society for doing its part to change that. Alan is, and always will be, a hero of mine.

I love racing! Alan's story is such an inspiration. It shows that you can and should dream BIG - and with commitment, determination, and passion you can fulfill those dreams. I am so happy to hear that the Milwaukee Historical Society will be sharing this story to a whole new generation. I can't wait to visit when the exhibit opens! Good luck
